WD acquires SSD maker Silicon Systems
Share Western Digital is feeling the heat and has made an entry into the SSD market by acquiring SiliconSystems for $65 million in cash. This company supplies SSDs for the embedded systems market and will now be known as the WD Solid-Stage Storage business unit.
