Kingston pushes out first ever 256GB Flash Drive

If you really like to drop some cash in thus economic crisis, here’s a thought :)

Kingston is introducing a new device today called the DataTraveler 300 and it packs in 256GB of storage space all in a slim flash drive design. Actually, it’s storage capacity breaks records, doubling the amount the closest competitor offers.

The new flash drive can hold approximately 10 Blu-ray movies and has a speedy 20MB/s read and 10MB/s write speed. All in all, this little gadget is pretty impressive, putting as much storage as a regular hard drive in your pocket.

The DataTraveler 300 works with both PCs and Macs, though only Windows-based computers can make use of the password software. You can get the drive in the UK now for the equivalent of *coughs* $900 USD.
