Intel ready to release 3.06GHz Pentium E6600

Intel is set to release a new model Core 2 Duo E6600 processor. I remember buying one years ago when it was clock at I think it was 2.4 GHz. The new E6600 will now be tagged under the Pentium processor label and is based on a 45nm Core 2 Duo core.
It is said this new Pentium E6600 runs at 3.06GHz and features 2MB cache and 1066FSB.It still remains LGA 775 socket.It is expected to be available on January 17th with a price tag of $84. At that time the 2.93GHz Pentium E6500 will have a price cut from $84 to $74.
