Intel to Launch 8-core Xeon this month
Share Alongside a 6-core launch for consumers, in the enterprise segment Intel will start shipping eight-core Nehalem-EX processors this month already. The pending 8-core Xeons will be able to run in four-socket servers and, by leveraging the two threads of each core, the logical CPU count can reach 64 cores on a single system.
Intel X25-V 40GB SSD debuts for $125
Share Intel announced the X25-V Value SATA SSD with a capacity of 40GB, this new entry-level disk will retail for around $125. Admittedly, the write performance does disappoint though.

Blu-ray disc drive costs falling, now just $70

Share Onkyo have released a range of new home A/V equipment that offers HDMI v1.4 connectivity and 3D video support. The new line-up includes a pair of full-sized receivers, the TX-SA578 and the TX-SA608, a pair of mini-systems, the BASE-V30HDX and BASE-V20HDX, and a 2.1-channel sub/speaker system, the HTX-22HDX.
