The Lian Li PC-V1020 Mid-Tower Chassis
Dimensioned at 220x562x505mm(W.H.D.), weights only at 9.15kg, stunning front grill design with holes, and available in three colors of black, silver and red. The PC-V1020 features 5.25″ standard optical drive x3; 5.25″ to 3.5″ converter optical drive x1; 3.5″ HDD x7; 2.5″ HDD x1. It supports ATX/Micro-ATX motherboards mounted on a motherboard bay that slides out on the back easily. Equipped with 8 PCI slots which can hold three or more graphics cards up to 305mm length supporting Crossfire™ and SLI™, this case allows full graphics power.

The Lian Li PC-V1020 is designed for an outstanding supply of cool air, offering two 140mm blue/red LED fans at the front, special cage for a 140mm at the top and one 120mm fan at the rear to draw the hot air out. Last but not least, an air filter is available to cover the vent underneath the mounted power supply unit at the bottom of the PC-V1020.

It is worth to mention that there is a set of wheels at the base of PC-V1020, for users to move the case around and lock the wheels in position. The Lian Li PC-V2120 Full-Tower HPTX Chassis
Dimensioned at 235x635x630mm(W.H.D.), it is designed to handle even the largest motherboard on the market for power users. Despite the enormous size and echoing internal space it only weights 14.4kg. The Lian Li PC-V2120 has a huge internal space that supports HPTX motherboards as well as 11 PCI slots for graphics cards up to 335mm long, and still enough room to fit five 5.25″ standard optical drives and 13 hard drives. The motherboard tray slides out on the back of the chassis, making it easy to set up the system despite of the size of the components. Access to the front bays is secured with lockable door with noise reduction foam, while the side panels can be secured with locks. The door opening direction can be easily changed from left to right swing.

For air flow the PC-V2120 has three 140mm cooling fans in the front, one 120mm fan on the back, plus three pre-cut 120mm fan mounting holes on the top cover for more fans or watercooling radiators. A tray is separating the motherboard compartment from the PSU and storage space on the bottom of the case. Besides having openings for cable management it also offers mounting holes for two 2.5” drives for an easy access compared to the narrow confines of the 3.5” bays. On the front there is a fan controller for users to adjust the fan speed and get the best balance between silent and cooling. Just like the PC-V1020, there is an optional PCI Cooling Kit with 140mm fan for direct cooling of the expansion cards, vents on the PCI brackets, plus fire protected vents below the power supply unit with an air filter for dust protection.

The wheels design enables easy moving of the heavy system. Other details like the USB 3.0, easy I/O ports access, noise reduction on side panels, cable management clamp, motherboard thumb screws and etc. make the PC-V2120 most ideal for professional workstations, small server and the ultimate gaming rig.

Gigabyte introduces a more powerful addition to its Super Overclock Series: GTX 470 SOC (GV-N470SO-13I). The GV-N470SO-13I also features WINDFORCE 3X, a 14 phase PWM design, OC Guru graphic card smart tuner and voltage read point.

The card comes at default with a 700 MHz core clock, a Shader Clock 1400 MHz and a Memory Clock of 3348 MHz (effective).

WINDFORCE 3X features 3 ultra quiet PWM fans. The special inclined triple-fan design effectively minimizes the flow of turbulence between three fans. With a unique vapor chamber, WINDFORCE 3X is able to transfer heat from the hot spot to the cool spot as thermal energy becomes evaporated to the surrounding air. By capillary action, the condensed liquid droplets circulate back to the base of chamber. The cycles of evaporation and condensation enhance heat dissipation for greater cooling efficiency. NZXT expanded its Classic Series of PC cases with the Gamma. This all-black ATX mid-tower intends to provide the essentials of casing the PC of today, while attempting to be creative with its bezel design to the extant possible. It measures 190 X 449 X 508 mm (W x H x D), and weighs 6 kg.

The case material is steel, including a dash of meshed steel in the front-panel. The front-panel includes four 5.25″ drive bays, audio, USB, and eSATA connectors, and perforated steel to cover the front intake fan.

The interiors are all-black, with seven internal 3.5″ drive bays. Apart from openings that help in cable management, the motherboard tray has an opening that makes working with CPU coolers with back-plates easier. The ventilation system provides a lot of room for expansion: a 120 mm intake fan, two side 120 mm fans, a rear 120 mm, and another two 140 or 120 mm fans on top. Ports for water-tubing are included. It is available in Europe, for a price of 39.90 EUR.

NZXT has itself some wacky-looking chassis, and its latest – the Lexa S – is no exception.

The mid-tower chassis, is gunning for the gaming market and its steel frame incorporates room for up to five fans. Four of the five are included as standard – there’s a 120mm front intake, a 120mm LED side fan, a 140mm top exhaust, and a 120mm rear exhaust. If that doesn’t do it, you can add an additional 140mm/120mm fan to the top.

What’s useful is that NZXT also bundles in a fan controller, allowing users to opt for cooling performance or quieter operation. Elsewhere, there are seven 3.5in drive bays, and they’re lit up by an ambient night light that NZXT claims will “give visibility in dark rooms and at LAN parties”.

The chassis features a smoked side window and an all black interior, there’s room for a bottom-mounted PSU, and the motherboard tray is packed full of holes to help with CPU cooler installation and cable routing. Pre-drilled water cooling holes are present, as are mounting holes for a top-mounted dual radiator, and there’s a selection of ports on a side-mounted I/O panel – including USB, audio and eSATA.

As with most NZXT chassis, the Lexa S promises a lot for what’s relatively little. We’re told to expect the chassis in stores this month priced at an MSRP of $69.99 (roughly £45).

Going against the trend, Cooler Master has come up with two new variants of the CM Elite RC-310 mid-tower ATX case.

The two come dressed in white with a dash of either blue or pink, with a glossy-white front bezel. Made of SECC/Steel and ABS plastic, the RC-310 measures (W) 191 x (H) 437 x (D) 468 mm, and weighs 5.8 kg. It provides basic casing with essential ventilation consisting of front, rear and side 120 mm fans. The price isn’t affected with change of colours, the white Elite RC-310 cases should sell for 34,90€.

Built for ATX and MicroATX motherboards the new Thermaltake WingRS 301 mid-tower chassis offers sufficient room for high-end graphics cards and provides 9 tool-free drive bays for maximum expandability with four 5 1/4” and five 3 1/2” bays. Seven I/O expansion slots gives enough freedom to upgrade system with add-on cards.

A large 120 mm rear exhaust Turbofan makes sure your machine stays cooled even under high load.

The black finish lends the Thermaltake WingRS 301 its distinct character and at the same time fits to most modern interiors. The front mesh grill provides improved ventilation. You can even install an additional front fan. Two USB connectors and HD Audio MIC and Speaker connectors in the front give you most convenient access. SilverStone will start shipping the GD03 HTPC case next month, this model will be available for around 190 EUR.
